Shares of NCR Corp

spiked higher Monday, following a story from

that the make of ATM machines could receive a bid of $36.00 per share. Last week,

reported that private equity firm Thoma Bravo was in talks with bankers regarding a bid for NCR. NCR shares closed at $31.37 on Tuesday, a gain of more than 3.5%.

Shares of General Mills, Inc.

popped Monday, on unconfirmed market chatter of a potential $67 per share bid by Nestle S.A.

. General Mills earnings report, the beginning of July, was mixed. General Mills shares closed at $56.83 Monday, a loss of $0.11.

United Technologies Corp.

announced Monday, that it has reached an agreement to sell its Sikorsky Aircraft unit to Lockheed Martin Corp.

for $9 billion in cash. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2015 or in Q1 of 2016. Lockheed Martin shares gained 1.8% Monday, closing at $204.81.

SunEdison, Inc.

, Vivint Solar

and TerraForm Power, Inc.

announced Tuesday, that SunEdison will acquire Vivint Solar for approximately $2.2 billion, or $16.50 per share, consisting of $9.89 per share in cash, $3.31 per share in SunEdison stock, and $3.30 per share in SunEdison convertible notes. In connection with its proposed acquisition of Vivint Solar, SunEdison will acquire Vivint Solar's rooftop solar portfolio for $922 million in cash. The transaction is expected to close in Q4 of 2015. Vivant Solar shares gained almost 45% Monday, closing at $15.75.
