Worst Performing Industries For July 17, 2015

The Dow fell 0.43 percent to 18,042.08, while the NASDAQ composite index surged 0.55 percent to 5,191.55. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index declined 0.13 percent to 2,121.48. The worst performing industries in the market today are: Electronics Stores: This industry declined 4.2 percent by 11:00 am with Best Buy Co Inc BBY moving down 5.9 percent. Bank of America downgraded Best Buy from Buy to Underperform and lowered the price target from $45.00 to $32.00. Silver: The industry dropped 3.5 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was First Majestic Silver Corp AG, which declined 6.9 percent. Silver futures fell 0.96 percent to $14.84 an ounce. Toys & Games: This industry tumbled 2.6 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was Mattel, Inc. MAT, which fell 4.5 percent. Mattel reported upbeat earnings for its second quarter. However, Barbie sales declined 11 percent to $130.3 million. Regional - Southwest Banks: This industry fell 1.4 percent by 11:00 am ET. Texas Capital Bancshares Inc TCBI shares dropped 3.2 percent in today's trading. Texas Capital Bancshares is expected to report Q2 results on Wednesday, July 22, 2015.
