US Stock Futures Flat; JPMorgan Earnings Top Views

Pre-open movers US stock futures traded mostly flat in early pre-market trade. Data on retail sales and import prices for June will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. Data on business inventories for May will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 6 points to 17,894.0, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures fell 0.85 points to 2,093.65. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index gained 2.60 points to 4,490.60. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were higher today, with the Spanish Ibex Index falling 0.26 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index dropping 0.10 percent and German DAX 30 index declining 0.30 percent. French CAC 40 Index slipped 0.02 percent and London's FTSE 100 Index fell 0.25 percent. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rose 1.47 percent, Homg Kong's Hang Seng Index dropped 0.41 percent, China's Shanghai Composite Index dipped 1.16 percent and India's BSE Sensex declined 0.10 percent. Broker Recommendation Analysts at Barclays upgraded GoPro Inc GPRO from Equal-weight to Overweight. The price target for GoPro has been raised from $50 to $65.
