US Stock Futures Gain Ahead Of Economic Data

US stock futures traded higher in early pre-market trade. The S&P/Case-Shiller home price index for April will be released at 9:00 a.m. ET, while the Chicago PMI for June will be released at 9:45 a.m. ET. The Conference Board's Consumer Confidence Index for June will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 67.5 points to 17,587.5, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures rose 9.95 points to 2,060.45. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index climbed 14.70 points to 4,392.70.

European markets were mostly lower today, with the Spanish Ibex Index rising 0.13 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index falling 0.56 percent and German DAX 30 index dropping 0.35 percent. French CAC 40 Index declined 0.40 percent and London's FTSE 100 Index fell 0.58 percent. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rose 0.63 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gained 1.09 percent, China's Shanghai Composite Index jumped 5.53 percent and India's BSE Sensex gained 0.49 percent.

Analysts at Deutsche Bank downgraded

from Buy to Hold and lowered the price target from $50.00 to $40.00. Sysco shares fell 2.16 percent to close at $37.54 on Monday.
