Aetna, Kate Spade, Nike Lead Thursday's After-Hours Movers

Aetna Inc AET gained nearly 4 percent after the bell Thursday. Bloomberg reported earlier that Aetna might agree to acquire Humana Inc HUM by this weekend. Humana closed up more than 7 percent but was little changed in the extended session.

Pernix Therapeutics Holdings Inc PTX picked up 4.7 percent, trading at $5.59 after the bell on no obvious catalyst. The drug company's shares are off more than 11 percent in the past five trading days.

Kate Spade & Co KATE recouped some of its earlier losses, gaining nearly 4 percent in late trading to $23.77. The apparel retailer's shares fell nearly 5 percent earlier in the day.

Nike Inc NKE rose 2.5 percent to $107.85 in late trading after the footwear and apparel company beat quarterly expectations.

Starz STRZA gained more than 2 percent after hours to $44.80. The media and entertainment company didn't issue news Thursday.

Micron Technology, Inc. MU dropped more than 8 percent to $21.94 in late trading on a disappointing quarterly earnings report.

SYNNEX Corporation SNX declined about 8 percent in the extended session to $75.70. The company posted earnings after the bell.

Intrepid Potash, Inc. IPI was off more than 3 percent at $11.75 after the close Thursday on no obvious catalyst.

Arista Networks Inc ANET dropped more than 2 percent to $83.56 in late trading. The shares closed down earlier also by 2 percent. The cloud networking products company didn't post news Thursday.

Marvell Technology Group Ltd. MRVL fell nearly 2 percent to $14.04 after the bell. Marvell didn't post news Thursday.
