US Stock Futures Slide Ahead Of Economic Data

Pre-open movers US stock futures traded lower in early pre-market trade. The Producer Price Index for May will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET, while the University of Michigan's consumer sentiment index for June will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 33 points to 18,010.00, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures fell 4.10 points to 2,105.15. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index declined 12.10 points to 4,478.40. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were lower today, with the Spanish Ibex Index falling 0.55 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index declining 0.25 percent and German DAX 30 index dropping 0.40 percent. French CAC 40 Index slipped 0.48 percent and London's FTSE 100 Index fell 0.58 percent. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rose 0.12 percent, China's Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.87 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index climbed 1.39 percent and India's BSE Sensex rose 0.21 percent. Broker Recommendation Analysts at Credit Suisse upgraded Darden Restaurants, Inc. DRI from Neutral to Outperform and raised the price target from $69.00 to $77.00.
