Tesla Model S Vs. Snowmobile: Elon Musk Tweets Video Showing Insane Drag Race Performance

CEO Elon Musk tweeted a video of a Tesla P85D Model S drag racing a snowmobile on an ice lake without tire chains or studs. The race took place in Norway, which with numerous incentives to buy electric cars (tax reduction, toll free driving and free charging) remains one of Tesla's biggest markets.

The Tesla P85D Model S is the one of the company's most expensive cars, with prices starting at $105,000. The high performance variant of its popular Model S can generate up to 691 horsepower, rivaling it with other super-cars. Tesla can deliver the automobile to a customer in just 20 days, shorter than delivery times of its cheaper offerings. Shares of Tesla recently traded at $193.63, up 1.7 percent.
