BlackBerry Ltd BBRY has been trying to reinvent itself recently, and many investors and analysts have their doubts about how much the company is actually changing. However, CEO John Chen insists that the company is running "a little ahead of our two-year turnaround and strategy," an article on re/code said.

Chen declared that the company's financial situation is stabilizing. Following several quarters of losses, BlackBerry was finally back to generating some cash and turning a profit last quarter. Chen said he expects this trend to continue, going forward, and revenue to stabilize over the coming year.

Chen was at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, and highlighted that both Verizon and AT&T had recently gone back to selling BlackBerry phones in store. "It's a big deal for us," Chen revealed. "We've been disconnected from them on the retail side for a while."

According to re/code, the company also talked about several other issues, including its plans to release four new devices in 2015. Among them, a "$275, five-inch, all-touch phone called the Leap [and] a curved screen model with a slide-out keyboard."
