US Stock Futures Edge Lower Ahead Of Auto Sales

US stock futures traded slightly lower in early pre-market trade. Data on motor vehicle sales for February will be released today. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average tumbled 15 points to 18,233.00, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures fell 2.60 points to 2,111.30. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index declined 4 points to 4,473.00.
A Peek Into Global Markets
European markets were lower today, with the Spanish Ibex Index dropping 0.50%, STOXX Europe 600 Index rising 0.01% and German DAX 30 index dropping 0.01%. French CAC 40 Index dipped 0.02% and London's FTSE 100 Index fell 0.09%. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average fell 0.06%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index dropped 0.74%, China's Shanghai Composite Index tumbled 2.20% and India's BSE Sensex jumped 0.46%.
