US Stock Futures Edge Higher Ahead Of Manufacturing PMI

US stock futures traded slightly higher in early pre-market trade. The Markit PMI manufacturing index for February will be released at 9:45 a.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 14 points to 17,973.00, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures rose 0.10 points to 2,095.40. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index gained 6.50 points to 4,419.75.
A Peek Into Global Markets
European markets were mostly lower today, with the Spanish Ibex Index falling 0.21%, STOXX Europe 600 Index declining 0.01% and German DAX 30 index dropping 0.25%. French CAC 40 Index slipped 0.20% and London's FTSE 100 Index rose 0.35%. Italian industrial orders climbed 4.5% on the month in December. Germany's producer prices shrank 0.6% on the month in December and dropped 2.2% y/y in the same month. Eurozone composite PMI climbed to 53.5 in February, versus 52.6 a month ago. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rose 0.37% and India's BSE Sensex dropped 0.78%.
