TE Connectivity Ltd. TEL announced Wednesday, it has agreed to sell its Broadband Network Solutions business unit to CommScope COMM for $3.0 billion. The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday that the two companies were close to a deal. The transaction is expected to close by December 31, 2015. TE Connectivity shares rose more than 4% Wednesday, closing at $67.45. CommScope shares rose 6%, closing at $27.13. SS&C Technology Reportedly in Talks to Acquire Advent Software for $45/Share The Rumor:
Shares of Advent Software, Inc. ADVS spiked higher Wednesday, on a report from Bloomberg that SS&C Technologies Holdings, Inc. SSNC was in talks to acquire the accounting software company for approximately $2.3 billion or $45.00 per share, according to sources. SS&C declined comment on the report. Advent was not available for comment. Advent Software shares gained almost 10% Wednesday, closing at $41.63. SS&C Technologies shares gained 2%, closing at $54.54. KCG Announces Sale of KCG Hotspot to Bats Global Markets for $365M The Deal:
KCG Holdings, Inc. KCG announced Wednesday it has agreed to sell KCG Hotspot, to BATS Global Markets for $365 milliion in cash at closing. The transaction is expected to increase KCG`s tangible book value by approximately $2.00 per share. The deal is expected to be completed in Q2 of 2015. KCG shares closed Wednesday at $11.99, up $0.02. Hearing Unconfirmed Market Chatter of Potential $18.50 Bid for LifeLock from KKR The Rumor:
Shares of LifeLock, Inc. (LOCK) rose Wednesday, on unconfirmed market chatter, that KKR & Co. L.P. KKR was in talks to take the company private at $18.50 per share/ A spokesperson for KKR declined comment on the rumor. A LifeLock spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment. LifeLock shares lost more than 3% Wednesday, closing at $14.48.
