Shares of Discover Financial Services (NYSE: DFS) declined more than 7 percent Thursday following its disappointing Q4 financial results.

Investors may want to watch competing names that were also falling Thursday.

American Express Company (NYSE: AXP) was down 3.8 percent after reporting its Q4 results.

Capital One Financial Corp. (NYSE: COF) fell nearly 2 percent ahead of announcing its Q4 results.

In the Q4 reports, Discover announced it would set aside more money to cover bad loans and American Express announced it would cut 4,000 jobs.

Discover Financial Services recently traded at $56.20, down 7.63 percent.
