Lakeland Industries Spikes Amid Ebola-Related Sales

Lakeland Industries, Inc. LAKE shares surged on news that it “has experienced a significant increase in order activity from demand relating to the Ebola crisis,” according to its press release.

Shares spiked over 3 percent Friday morning after the manufacturer of industrial protective clothing announced preliminary results for its fiscal 2015 third quarter.

The company’s press release stated, “preliminary sales only in the United States and Canada for the fiscal 2015 third quarter are expected to be between $14.5 million and $14.7 million, or an increase of approximately 15 percent as compared with sales of $12.5 million for the same regions in the fiscal third quarter of the prior year.”

Lakeland Industries recently traded at $11.52, up 1 percent.
