US Stock Futures Slide Ahead Of Macy's Earnings

US stock futures traded lower in early pre-market trade. Macy's

is projected to report its Q3 earnings at $0.50 per share on revenue of $6.34 billion. Data on wholesale inventories for September will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average tumbled 52 points to 17,516.00, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures fell 6.70 points to 2,029.80. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index slipped 11.25 points to 4,172.00.

European markets were lower today, with the Spanish Ibex Index dropping 1.02%, STOXX Europe 600 Index falling 0.78%. German DAX 30 index slipped 1.20%, French CAC 40 Index tumbled 0.94% and London's FTSE 100 Index dropped 0.43%. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average jumped 0.43%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 0.55%, China's Shanghai Composite Index jumped 1% and India's Sensex rose 0.35%.

Analysts at Evercore Partners downgraded CBOE Holdings

from Hold to Sell and maintained the price target of $55.00. CBOE Holdings' shares rose 0.82% to close at $62.38 yesterday.
