Jobs Numbers Expected To Increase For September

The monthly jobs report comes out Friday morning, with expectation of 215,000 jobs created in September, versus a disappointing 142,000 in August, the smallest gain this year. Expectations are also for an upward revision in the August number. The unemployment rate is expected to be 6.1 percent, virtually matching last month. Futures are trading sharply higher in front of the jobs number, with the December S&P 500 futures currently up 11 points, or .63 percent, at 1949.00.
