The following are the M&A deals, rumors and chatter circulating on Wall Street for Friday August 22 through Sunday August 24, 2014: Roche to Acquire InterMune for $74.00/Share in Cash The Deal:Roche RHHBY and InterMune ITMN announced Sunday that Roche will acquire InterMune for $74.00 per share in cash, for a total transaction value of $8.3 billion. Roche will commence a tender offer no later than August 29, 2014, to acquire all outstanding shares of InterMune common stock, and InterMune will recommend that InterMune's shareholders tender their shares to Roche. The deal, which was rumored by multiple sources in the past two weeks, has been approved by the boards of both companies, and is expected to close in 2014. InterMune closed Friday at $53.80, a gain of 1%. Vodafone Greece to Acquire 72.7% of Hellas Online for €72.7M in Cash Vodafone VOD announced Friday, that Vodafone Greece has agreed to acquire 72.7% of the share capital of Hellas Online from the Intracom Group and World Equities Investments Holdings SA for €72.7 million in cash. The transaction values the fully diluted equity of HOL at €100 million. Vodafone closed at $34.09 Friday, a gain of $0.59. Google Acquires Gecko Design The Deal:
Google GOOG announced Friday that it has acquired mechanical engineering and product-design company Gecko Design. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Google closed Friday at $592.54, a gain of $0.12.
