Plug Power, FuelCell and Ballar Power Shares Benefit From Walmart Order

Fuel cells stocks are of the hottest Tuesday after Walmart WMT placed a follow on order with Plug Power PLUG. Plug Power expects to deliver 286 fuel cells, adding to the initial 1,783 unit order in February.

Peer companies are trading higher as investors speculate on the viability of the fuel cell business.

Plug Power PLUG up 7.3 percent

FuelCell FCEL up 1.7 percent

Ballard Power BLDP up 2.3 percent

Although these jumps are significant, shares of Plug Power are up almost 300 percent year to date and 1,430 percent over the past year.
