US stock futures traded higher in early pre-market trade, ahead of earnings from several major companies. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 26 points to 17,059.00, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures rose 3.80 points to 1,978.70. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index gained 12 points to 3,962.50.
A Peek Into Global Markets
European markets were higher today, with the Spanish Ibex Index rising 0.24%, STOXX Europe 600 Index surging 0.29%. German DAX 30 index gained 0.56%, French CAC 40 Index climbed 0.36% and London's FTSE 100 Index surged 0.24%. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average fell 0.10%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index surged 0.80%, China's Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.14% and India's BSE Sensex rose 0.47%.
