More than 110,000 people are expected to watch California Chrome's attempt to win horse racing's elusive triple crown Saturday at Belmont Park in New York. The last time that happened was in 1978, when it was done by Affirmed.
Jockey Victor Espinoza will be aboard the 3-5 favorite, when he leaves the starting gate for the 1.5 mile race, at approximately 6:52 PM ET. Wicked Strong, ridden by jockey Rajiv Maragh at 6-1 and Ride on Curlin at 12-1, are expected to have the best shot at preventing California Chrome from achieving his historical quest.
