Shares of voxeljet (NASDAQ: VJET) have plunged more than 16 percent during Friday's trading session following the unfavorable pricing of an equity offering.

voxeljet priced 3 million ADSs at $15 per ADS, sharply below the $18.55 close from Thursday. The company said it is expecting net proceeds from the offering around $41.4 million.

Right at the open Friday morning, it appeared the news was going to bring the entire 3D-printing sector down. Shares of 3D Systems (NYSE: DDD) were down more than 2 percent while shares of both Stratasys (NASDAQ: SSYS) and ExOne Co. (NASDAQ: XONE) were down about 1.6 percent. While shares of 3D Systems have bounced nicely, now up more than a percent, shares of Stratasys and ExOne have continued lower, down about 2 percent and 2.4 percent, respectively.
