US Stock Futures Edge Higher Ahead Of ADP Report

Pre-open movers US stock futures rose in early pre-market trading, ahead of economic data. The ADP national employment report for March will be released at 8:15 a.m. ET, while factory orders data for February will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 16 points to 16,465.00, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures rose 1.30 points to 1,879.10. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index gained 4.50 points to 3,654.75. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were mostly higher today, with the Spanish Ibex Index falling 0.25%, London's FTSE 100 index gaining 0.18% and STOXX Europe 600 Index jumping 0.15%. German DAX 30 index climbed 0.22% and French CAC 40 Index fell 0.01%. Spanish jobless claims fell by 16,620 versus February to under 4.8 million in March. Asian markets ended higher today. Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rose 1.04%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index jumped 0.34% and China's Shanghai Composite Index climbed 0.56% and India's BSE Sensex climbed 0.37%. Broker Recommendation Analysts at Credit Suisse downgraded ArcelorMittal MT from “outperform” to neutral.” The target price for ArcelorMittal has been lowered from $20 to $17.
