S&P 500 futures: What's in store for today?
Stock index futures were bouncing around from slightly negative to marginally positive territory prior to the opening bell. Investors have a lot on their plate including an FOMC meeting and Janet Yellen's press conference. Russia isn't even bothering to offer subtle hints over its Crimea intentions and the country looks like it will annex the region, with little downside effect on the futures. Russia's Micex was higher as well at around 1.6 percent with gold slipping around one percent. Shares of the S&P 500 futures ETF,

were trading higher by 0.36 percent in the pre-market session.
Yingli Green Energy: Top and bottom line miss

reported its fourth quarter results. The company announced an EPS of -$0.31, missing the consensus estimate of -$0.17. Revenue of $613 million missed the consensus estimate of $651.55 million. Gross profit for the quarter fell to RMB 451.7 million ($74.6 million) from RMB 498.8 million in the third quarter of 2013 but up from RMB 247.8 million in the same quarter last year. Gross margin also fell from the previous quarter from 13.7 percent to 12.2 percent, but compares favorably to a gross margin of negative 8.5 percent in the same quarter last year. Shares were trading lower by 9.49 percent in the pre-market session.
Transocean: Idle rig and other updatesTransocean

issues a monthly Fleet Update Summary in which the company discloses new contracts, significant changes to existing contracts in addition to changes in estimated planned out-of-service time of 15 or more days since February 18. Transocean reported that the total value of new contracts since its previous update is approximately $14 million. The company said that its GSF Development Driller I rig in the U.S. Golf of Mexico is now idle. The GSF Galaxy III won a two and a half month contract extension for use as an accommodation unit in the U.K sector of the North Sea. Finally, the company estimates that its 2014 planned out-of-service time increased by a net of two days. Shares were trading lower by 0.75 percent in the pre-market session.

reported that its electric vehicle sales soared 193.7 percent year over while gross margins rose to 22.5 percent from 17.1 percent a year ago. Gold: Pricing probe could be widening, flee of safety

reported that an investigation of its foreign exchange operations has been widened to include its precious metals business. The price has gold recently flirted with the $1,400 level but has since pulled back to below $1,600 on Tuesday morning. Investors will be keeping a close eye on gold as the precious metal continues to offer investors a perceived safety from the troubles in Ukraine and continued concerns over China's economy.
