XPO Logistics (NYSE: XPO) and Pacer International (NASDAQ: PACR) today announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement for XPO Logistics to acquire Pacer, the third largest provider of intermodal transportation services in North America. The combined company will continue to trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol XPO.
