BlackBerryBBRY
has pulled its recently updated
TwitterTWTR
app following user complaints ten days after its release. Twitter version 10.2.2 was released on December 17 for BB10 and was intended to bring the full Twitter experience to BlackBerry users. The app had an improved search function, connectivity with BlackBerry Messenger and timeline photo previews.
AllthingsD reported that the app arrived with so many bugs that the Canadian based smartphone maker had no option but to remove it from its BlackBerry World app store. Users voiced their frustration on various blogs and social medias. One user complained on BlackBerry's forum on December 17. "My Twitter app worked great. Then I installed this update, and it doesn't work at all. Won't open, and I can't even uninstall it. Please advise how to get it working. Thanks." BlackBerry is encouraging users to downgrade to version 10.2.1 which was operated smoothly. “Twitter version 10.2.2 has been removed from BlackBerry World due to user reported issues,” BlackBerry wrote in a
blog update
. “We are actively investigating and will prove an update here when Twitter 10.2.2 has been reposted.”
