TransAlta Renewables Acquires Economic Interest in Wyoming Wind Farm Raises Annualized Dividend 2.7% to $0.77/Share

announced today that TransAlta Renewables, through a wholly owned subsidiary of TransAlta, has acquired the economic interest in the 144 megawatt (MW) wind farm in Wyoming upon the successful completion of the acquisition. The wind farm is fully operational and contracted under a long-term power purchase agreement until 2028 with an investment grade counterparty. The acquisition was originally announced on October 21, 2013. The Board of Directors of TransAlta Renewables also declared dividends of $0.06416 per common share payable on each of February 28, 2014, March 28, 2014 and April 30, 2014 to shareholders of record at the close of business on February 3, 2014, March 3, 2014 and April 1, 2014 respectively. This results in an annualized dividend of $0.77 per share and an increase to the prior annualized dividend of 2.7%. Related Content:TransAlta Renewables Inc.
