Shares of Crocs CROX have rallied about $0.50 in Tuesday's post-market trading session following a Bloomberg story suggesting the company is in talks with firms for a possible investment.
A source told Bloomberg buyout firms like Blackstone BX may be interested in taking a minority stake in Crocs. Some kind of deal for debt could also be in the works, the source said.
Proceeds from a possible deal might be used by the Crocs Board to buyback the company's stock.
A couple hours into the after-hours session, shares of Crocs are up nearly 3.5 percent to around $14.
