Vonage Launches Extensions in UK

Vonage announces the UK launch of the Extensions(R) feature, giving customers the ability to extend their home calling plan to a mobile phone. The innovative solution means that new and existing customers who are on-the-go but want to continue using their Vonage voice service to make local and international calls, can now do so anytime, anywhere and from whichever device they choose. For even greater convenience, a free, patented Vonage Extensions app is available for iPhone(R) and Android(TM) users, enabling customers to use their Vonage home phone plan from their smartphone. The Extensions app works over 3G/4G1 or Wi-Fi and provides one-touch dialling directly through a user's existing contact list. Currently, consumers have one calling plan for their home phone and another for their smartphone. Extensions brings both of these together onto one device. International callers, who have previously contracted with Vonage for its unlimited2 international calling plans, can now use the app to continue calling under their existing plan, even when they're not at home or in the office.
