, the application performance company, announced today that Ginna Raahauge has been appointed Senior Vice President and CIO. Raahauge will report to Ernie Maddock, chief financial officer at Riverbed®, and her responsibilities will include the company's Information Technology (IT) strategy, applications, infrastructure, security, and support. "Ginna joins Riverbed with over twenty years of experience both optimizing and transforming IT for an industry giant as well as building IT from the ground up," said Jerry M. Kennelly, chairman and chief executive officer at Riverbed. "She will be a key driver of new technologies and process at Riverbed, and we look forward to the many contributions Ginna will bring to our team." Prior to Riverbed, Raahauge was Vice President, IT at Cisco, where she was responsible for directing the Customer Value Chain Management Information Technology organization including order/booking, demand planning, global supply chain, quality, and revenue recognition. In this role, she was responsible for the entire technology platform for Cisco's global order through invoice process and revenue recognition. She led a team of 200 plus full-time employees and 800 contractor/staff-augmented personnel. Prior to Cisco, Raahauge was the Vice President of IT and Real Estate for PalmSource from the time of spinoff from Palm through the peak of its growth. She not only built the information technology platform on which PalmSource grew, but also managed infrastructure, data centers, and all construction projects related to growth and acquisitions. In addition to her position at Riverbed, Raahauge is on the board of directors of MentorNet, a non-profit with a mission to ensure the success of the technology and engineering workforce of the future. In addition, she is a member of two angel investment firms that specialize in bringing capital to demographics that have historically been ignored. Finally, Raahauge co-hosts a "Women in Leadership" dinner forum bringing together top-level women executives throughout the Bay Area to share, learn, and work together on common challenges.
