US Stock Futures Flat; Economic Data, Fed Decision In Focus

US stock futures are mostly flat this morning, as investors are awaiting ADP national employment report and GDP data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 2 points to 15,495.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 1 points to 1,685.70. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 0.75 points to 3,086.25. US stocks closed mixed on Tuesday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropping 0.01% to 15,520.59, the S&P 500 index rising 0.04% to 1,685.96 and the Nasdaq 100 index gaining 0.48% to 3,616.47. The MBA purchase applications index will be released at 7:00 a.m. ET, while the ADP national employment report for July will be released at 8:15 a.m. ET. Data on GDP growth for the second quarter and the employment cost index for the second quarter will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. The Chicago PMI for July will be released at 9:45 a.m. ET, while the EIA weekly report on petroleum inventories will be released at 10:30 a.m. ET.
