US Stock Futures Down Ahead Of Pending Home Sales

US stock futures are lower this morning, as investors are awaiting the pending home sales index. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average tumbled 31 points to 15,467.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 3.90 points to 1,682.70. Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 5.50 points to 3,065.00. US stocks closed slightly higher on Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 0.02% to 15,558.83, the S&P 500 index gaining 0.08% to 1,691.65 and the Nasdaq 100 index surging 0.22% to 3,613.16. The pending home sales index for June will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET, while the Dallas Fed general business activity index for July will be released at 10:30 a.m. ET. Wynn Resorts WYNN is estimated to report its Q2 earnings at $1.57 per share on revenue of $1.34 billion. Armstrong World Industries AWI is expected to report its Q2 earnings at $0.64 per share on revenue of $693.17 million. Roper Industries ROP is projected to report its Q2 earnings at $1.30 per share on revenue of $806.67 million. Anadarko Petroleum APC is expected to post its Q2 earnings at $0.91 per share on revenue of $3.57 billion. FMC FMC is projected to post its Q2 earnings at $0.94 per share on revenue of $967.90 million. Herbalife HLF is expected to post its Q2 earnings at $1.18 per share on revenue of $1.16 billion. Hertz Global Holdings HTZ is estimated to report its Q2 earnings at $0.45 per share on revenue of $2.70 billion. Eastman Chemical Co EMN is projected to post its Q2 earnings at $1.64 per share on revenue of $2.39 billion. Jacobs Engineering Group JEC is estimated to post its Q3 earnings at $0.85 per share on revenue of $2.98 billion. Ryanair Holdings plc RYAAY is projected to report its Q1 earnings at $0.50 per share on revenue of $1.82 billion. Cal-Maine Foods CALM is projected to report its Q4 earnings at $0.03 per share on revenue of $273.90 million. European markets were mostly higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 0.25%, London's FTSE 100 index dropped 0.10%, French CAC 40 Index surged 0.32% and German DAX 30 index rose 0.47%. Asian markets ended mostly lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average falling 3.32%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 1.72% and Australia's ASX/S&P500 rising 0.08%. Hong Kong's Heng Seng Index declined 0.54% and India's Sensex tumbled 0.86%.
