. Apple is scheduled to report its Q3 earnings after the closing bell today. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 30 points to 15,521.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 3.70 points to 1,694.00. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 8.75 points to 3,056.25.

European markets were higher following the positive Bank of Spain economic forecasts. The Spanish Ibex Index gained 1.53%, London's FTSE 100 index gained 0.33%, STOXX Europe 600 Index surged 0.31%, German DAX 30 index rose 0.26% and French CAC 40 Index gained 0.28%. Asian markets ended higher, with China's Shanghai Composite surging 1.95%, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average gaining 0.82% and Australia's ASX/S&P500 rising 0.31%. India's Sensex gained 0.71% and Hong Kong's Heng Seng Index rose 2.33%.

Analysts at Cantor Fitzgerald downgraded Nash-Finch Company
