German exports declined in May.
The county's exports fell 2.4%, versus economists' estimates for a 0.4% fall. Imports rose 1.7% from April, versus estimates for a 0.5% increase.
German seasonally-adjusted trade surplus shrank to 14.1 billion euros, versus a revised 17.5 billion in April. However, economists were expecting surplus to narrow to 17.5 billion euros.
