Pierre Bossier Mall to Introduce First Forever 21 Store in Northwest Louisiana

Rouse Properties, Inc. RSE, a national owner and operator of enclosed regional malls, today announced Forever 21 has executed a lease to open its first store in Northwest Louisiana at Pierre Bossier Mall, a premier shopping destination serving the greater Shreveport-Bossier City market. Forever 21, a specialty, fast fashion retailer of women's and men's clothing and accessories, will occupy 35,000 square feet and replace a former Stage store. Forever 21 has quickly become the source for the most current fashions at the greatest value. The addition of Forever 21 to Pierre Bossier Mall further reflects Rouse Properties' strong and growing relationship with the fashion retailer. Rouse Properties recently opened a new 22,500 square foot flagship store at Southland Center, the Company's property in the greater Detroit area. “It's an exciting time for Pierre Bossier Mall. Our retail strategy, combined with last year's cosmetic renovation to enhance the mall experience, enables us to attract first-to-market retailers and higher-quality, more sought-after brands,” said Brian Harper, Executive Vice President of Leasing for Rouse Properties. “We are thrilled to bring one of the nation's hottest concepts that offers a fun and fresh shopping experience to Northwest Louisiana consumers.” Pierre Bossier Mall is the largest enclosed mall in the region and one of two enclosed malls in the market place. Rouse also owns Mall St. Vincent in nearby Shreveport and continues to position both properties to better serve the entire marketplace. Pierre Bossier is optimally situated, being highly visible and accessible off of I-20. The mall draws consumers from Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas and serves a trade area population of nearly 400,000 people. Pierre Bossier's recent cosmetic renovation included the addition of a new floor, soft seating, Wi-Fi, a children's play area and upgraded pylon and exterior directional signage. Anchored by Dillard's, jcpenney, Sears and soon Forever 21, Pierre Bossier Mall totals 615,000 square feet and is home to 80 prominent retailers and a full-service food court.
