DaVita®, a division of DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc. DVA and a
leading provider of kidney care services, today announced it has selected
Cureatr, the leading enterprise messaging and workflow navigation solution for
health care, to enhance communication and care coordination for care teams at
dialysis centers across the country.
As a health care industry leader, DaVita seeks technology solutions to
maximize care coordination and generate reports on key quality measures for
continual process improvement. Cureatr's mobile care coordination and
reporting system will help DaVita foster more robust clinical information
sharing, which may help reduce costly hospital admissions.
“The pace of health care demands a communication tool that can keep up, and
that's where Cureatr can help,” said Ben Harber, senior director of clinical
operations at DaVita. “We've piloted Cureatr in Atlanta and are expanding to
other markets soon. All results to date have been positive and show great
promise as we scale to larger populations.”
This partnership will enable DaVita to provide Cureatr's iPhone and web apps
to thousands of its facility administrators, care managers, nurses and
affiliated nephrologists. This offering, which will include a HIPAA-secure
group messaging system with read receipts, secure photo sharing technology,
and seamless integration with existing scheduling and directory systems, will
improve communication between DaVita's dialysis care teams, ultimately
resulting in more efficient delivery of patient care.
