Whitbread Comparable Sales Increase 3.1%

Whitbread PLC WTBCY reported a 13.8% increase in its total sales for the 13 weeks ended May 30. Its comparable sales also surged 3.1% for the same period. Premier Inn sales jumped 12.7%. Restaurant sales climbed 2.6%, while hotels and restaurants sales gained 8.8% for the period.
