General Motors China Sales Up 9.4% In May

Sales at General Motors Co

and its China joint ventures rose 9.4% to 252,942 units in May. Sales at GM's joint-venture with Shanghai's SAIC Motor surged 18.4% to 117,381 units, while sales at the FAW Group joint venture jumped 25.9% to 4,727 units. General Motors sold 2.84 million vehicles last year. GM shares closed at $34.96 yesterday.
