AT&T T today announced that a four-year
contract reached by its subsidiaries with the International Brotherhood of
Electrical Workers System Council T-3 has ratified.
The contract covers nearly 6,500 IBEW-represented AT&T wireline employees. The
employees covered under the agreement are members of IBEW Local 21 in Illinois
and northwestern Indiana, and of other locals spread across the country.
AT&T wireline employees represented by the Communications Workers of America
earlier ratified, on Aug. 17, 2012 three-year contracts for the Midwest region
and AT&T Corp. (CWA Telecommunications and Technology Office); on Dec. 7, 2012
a three-year contract for the Southeast region; on Feb. 27, 2013 a four-year
contract in the Southwest; and on May 1, 2013 a four-year contract in the
West. Along with the IBEW contract ratified today, these ratified agreements
collectively cover more than 83,000 bargained AT&T wireline employees.
