US Stock Futures Up Ahead Of Consumer Credit Data

US stock futures are higher this morning, as investors are awaiting consumer credit data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 26 points to 14,932.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 1.60 points to 1,615.00. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 5.50 points to 2,953.00. US stocks closed mixed on Monday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average falling 0.03% to 14,968.89, the S&P 500 index gaining 0.19% to 1,617.50 and the Nasdaq 100 index surging 0.42% to 3,392.97. The ICSC-Goldman comparable store sales index will be released at 7:45 a.m. ET, while the Johnson Redbook Retail Sales Index will be released at 8:45 a.m. ET. Data on consumer credit for March will be released at 3:00 p.m. ET. Emerson Electric Co EMR is projected to report its Q2 earnings at $0.78 per share on revenue of $6.03 billion. Fossil FOSL is expected to report its Q1 earnings at $0.97 per share on revenue of $650.99 million. The Walt Disney Company DIS is projected to post its Q2 earnings at $0.76 per share on revenue of $10.48 billion. Perrigo Co PRGO is estimated to report its Q3 earnings at $1.44 per share on revenue of $935.44 million. Steven Madden SHOO is expected to report its Q1 earnings at $0.52 per share on revenue of $ 280.90 million. Molson Coors Brewing Company TAP is projected to report its Q1 earnings at $0.34 per share on revenue of $854.16 million. OfficeMax OMX is expected to report its Q1 earnings at $0.23 per share on revenue of $1.83 billion. The Andersons ANDE is projected to post its Q1 earnings at $0.87 per share on revenue of $1.34 billion. Williams Companies WMB is expected to post its Q1 earnings at $0.24 per share on revenue of $2.03 billion. CH Robinson Worldwide CHRW is expected to post its Q1 earnings at $0.69 per share on revenue of $2.98 billion. McKesson MCK is projected to post its Q4 earnings at $2.30 per share on revenue of $32.01 billion. Towers Watson & Co TW is projected to report its Q3 earnings at $1.49 per share on revenue of $951.05 million. European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 0.18%, London's FTSE 100 index gained 0.31%, French CAC 40 Index gained 0.42% and German DAX 30 index rose 0.65%. Asian markets ended higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average jumping 3.55%, China's Shanghai Composite surging 0.20% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 index dropping 0.22%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 0.58% and India's Sensex gained 1.09%.
