InterMedia Outdoors Holdings Offers to Acquire Outdoor Channel Holdings for $9.75/Share
InterMedia Outdoors Holdings announced an offer Friday, to acquire all of the outstanding shares of common stock of Outdoor Channel Holdings (NASDAQ: OUTD), at a price of $9.75 per share in cash. InterMedia's offer will remain open until 5:00 p.m. Pacific time on May 10, 2013. Kroenke Sports offered $8.75/share for Outdoor Channel on March 1.
Outdoor Channel Holdings closed at $10.00 Friday, a gain of 5.71% on twice average volume.
Yahoo Close to Deal to Acquire Milewise
Yahoo (NASDAQ: YHOO) is near a deal to acquire travel startup Milewise, according to Pando Daily.
Both Yahoo and Milewise have declined comment on the rumor.
Yahoo closed at $25.07 Friday, a gain of $0.10 on lower than average volume.
Hearing Renewed Takeover Chatter in Barnes & Noble
Barnes & Noble (NYSE: BKS) was the subject of renewed market chatter on Friday. On February 25, 2013, Barnes & Noble founder and Chairman, Leonard Riggio announced he intended to propose a purchase of all of the company's retail assets.
A Barnes & Noble spokesperson declined comment on the rumor.
Barnes & Noble closed at $18.54 Friday, a gain of 1.37% on 1.5 times average volume.
