A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures are higher this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 84 points to 14,494.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 10.10 points to 1,544.10. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 17 points to 2,756.50. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 0.88%, London's FTSE 100 Index gained 0.59%, French CAC 40 Index surged 1.54% and German DAX 30 index rose 0.53%. Asian markets ended higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average gaining 0.73%, China's Shanghai Composite surging 2.14% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rising 0.24%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 2.33%. Broker Recommendation Analysts at Deutsche Bank upgraded AutoNation AN from “sell” to “hold.” The target price for AutoNation has been raised from $38 to $39.
