A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts
Pre-open movers US stock futures are lower this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 44 points to 14,030.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 5.30 points to 1,511.20. Nasdaq 100 futures declined 13.25 points to 2,735.50.
A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index fell 0.29%, London's FTSE 100 Index dropped 0.52%, French CAC 40 Index tumbled 0.23% and German DAX 30 index declined 0.54%.
Asian markets ended mostly lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average gaining 0.40%, China's Shanghai Composite falling 3.65% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 dropping 1.42%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index declined 1.50% and India's Sensex fell 0.21%.
Broker Recommendation Analysts at Citigroup downgraded Southern Company (NYSE: SO) from “buy” to “neutral.” The target price for Southern Company has been lowered from $48 to $46.
Southern Company shares fell 0.40% to close at $44.83 on Friday.
