Following a dismal earnings report from First Solar (NASDAQ: FSLR) Tuesday, solar stocks ranging from Trina Solar (NYSE: TSL) to SunPower (NASDAQ: SPWR) took a beating.

As traders calm down over the awful guidance and top line earnings miss from First Solar, the sector looks to be recovering.

SunPower opened with momentum, rising over seven percent to $12.50, while Trina Solar jumped a little under 3.5 percent to $4.21. First Solar saw some minor relief its self, gaining a little under 1.75 percent to $27.51 after a sharp spike and reversal at the open.

We expect the solar sector to display continued volatility throughout the trading session today and will keep it on watch.
