The Madrid
Health Authority (Consejería de Sanidad de la Comunidad de Madrid)
has awarded Accenture
ACN a two-year contract to deliver consulting services focused
on existing healthcare IT systems for Madrid's public healthcare network
that serves the city's 6.5 million citizens.
Accenture will work with the Madrid Health Authority to enhance the
integration and functionality of Madrid's healthcare technology systems
across 36 hospitals, 29 specialized treatment centers and more than 400
primary care facilities. The scope of the initiative includes
traditional project management and an advisory role in which Accenture
will support the technical and functional decisions of the technology
systems.
