Pre-open movers US stock futures are higher this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 27 points to 13,952.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 2.70 points to 1,515.10. Nasdaq 100 futures climbed 4.25 points to 2,776.25.

A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were mostly higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index fell 0.36%, London's FTSE 100 Index gained 0.32%, German DAX 30 Index rose 0.05% and French CAC 40 Index climbed 0.38%.

Asian markets ended mostly lower, with Australia's S&P/ASX 200 Index dropping 0.18% and India's Sensex falling 0.12%.

Broker Recommendation Analysts at Stifel Nicolaus upgraded U.S. Bancorp (NYSE: USB) from “sell” to “hold.” The target price for U.S. Bancorp is set to $39.

U.S. Bancorp shares gained 0.77% to $33.91in pre-market trading.
