A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

US stock futures are mixed this morning, as investors are awaiting economic data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 14 points to 13,561.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 0.80 points to 1,478.10. Nasdaq 100 futures surged 2.25 points to 2,736.00.

European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index fell 0.15%, London's FTSE 100 Index dropped 0.11%, German DAX 30 Index dropped 0.41% and French CAC 40 Index fell 0.26%. Asian markets ended mostly lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average falling 0.35%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 0.56% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 Index climbing 0.01%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gained 0.29% and India's Sensex declined 0.60%.

Analysts at Credit Suisse downgraded Amgen

from “outperform” to “neutral.” The target price for Amgen has been lowered from $100 to $90. Amgen shares fell 1.05% to $81.22 in pre-market trading.
