A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures are mostly flat this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 1 point to 13,542.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 0.10 points to 1,475.60. Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 6 points to 2,734.50. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were mostly higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 0.13%, London's FTSE 100 Index gained 0.52%, German DAX 30 Index dropped 0.08% and French CAC 40 Index rose 0.10%. Asian markets ended higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rising 2.86%, China's Shanghai Composite gaining 1.41% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 Index climbing 0.31%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gained 1.12% and India's Sensex surged 0.38%. Broker Recommendation Analysts at Jefferies upgraded Research In Motion RIMM from “hold” to “buy.” The target price for Research In Motion has been raised from $13 to $19.50.
