A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

US stock futures are mostly lower this morning, as investors are awaiting earnings from Goldman Sachs Group

. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 31 points to 13,430.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 2.50 points to 1,462.70. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 2 points to 2,716.25.

European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index fell 0.32%, London's FTSE 100 Index dropped 0.45%, German DAX 30 Index dropped 0.28% and French CAC 40 Index fell 0.28%. Asian markets ended mostly lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average falling 2.56%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 0.70% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 Index rising 0.46%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index fell 0.10% and India's Sensex tumbled 0.85%.

Analysts at Citigroup upgraded Sealed Air

from “neutral” to “buy.” The target price for Sealed Air has been raised from $18 to $22. Sealed Air shares gained 0.71% to $18.41 in pre-market trading.
