Top Narrow Based Indexes For January 11, 2013
By 10:30 am, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 26.45 points, or 0.20%, to 13,444.77, while the broader Standard & Poor's 500 index had dropped 4.41 points, or 0.30%. The NASDAQ composite index fell 6.81 points, or 0.22%.
Some of the narrow based indexes that are still afloat in the market are Mobile and Wireless Software Stocks, which have gained 3.9%, Chinese Advertising Stocks, up 2.6%, and Business Process Outsourcing Stocks, moving 2.6% higher as a group.
In Tickerspy's Mobile and Wireless Software complex, Unwired Planet (NASDAQ: UPIP) had surged 37.4%. Analysts at Northland Securities upgraded Unwired Planet from “market perform” to “outperform.”
The best performing Tickerspy Chinese Advertising stock has been VisionChina Media (NASDAQ: VISN), which was up 5.5%. VisionChina Media's trailing-twelve-month revenue is $142.91 million.
Infosys (NASDAQ: INFY) is today's leading Tickerspy's Business Process Outsourcing stock, gaining 17.8%. Infosys reported upbeat Q3 profit.
