UMC December Sales Down 3.8%

United Microelectronics Corp

reported a 3.8% drop in its December sales. UMC's sales came in at T$7.8 billion ($269 million) in December, down from T$8.1 billion in the year-ago period and versus T$9 billion in the earlier month. UMC shares closed at $2.11 yesterday.
