Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are: Synchronoss Technologies SNCR reported that it had bought NewBay from Research in Motion RIMM for $55.5 million. Synchronoss shares dropped 0.49% to close at $20.49 yesterday, while Research in Motion shares rose 0.43% to $11.81 in after-hours trading. MEMC Electronic Materials WFR reported that Emmanuel Hernandez will replace John Marren as the company's new chairman. MEMC shares fell 2.84% to close at $3.08 yesterday. Cepheid CPHD reported that it has received clearance from the US FDA to market Xpert® CT/NG. Cepheid shares rose 0.92% to $33.00 in after-hours trading. Prologis (NYSE PLD) reported that co-CEO Walter C. Rakowich will retire on December 31, 2012. Prologis shares gained 0.58% to close at $36.28 yesterday. Omeros OMER reported that its drug candidate for patients undergoing arthroscopic partial meniscectomy surgery did not meet some of its main goal in a late-stage trial. Omeros shares tumbled 9.25% to $5.30 in after-hours trading.
